Stream Sluice

This sluice came about through my desire to have a way to clean up just the top portion for a quicky cleanup. I didn’t want to have to remove the whole tray just to see how I was doing. I also wanted moss and black ribbed mat the whole length for better recovery and easier cleanup. It has a two part flume. The two different flume lengths give you more options when working in slow or fast moving water.

This sluice is the third tray for the HB17D2K. If you own the HB17 Highbanker and wish to purchase the $400 Dredge Kit (click here), you would only have to pay $270.

Weighs 12 pounds. Tray is 30” x 10”, flume is 13” x 17 ¾”.

Classifying Stream Sluice

The 10” wide sluice is used right in the creek or river. It has a bubble level on the side for suggested angle of use. The flume has a water dam to regulate the proper amount of water for the two runs. When the water is almost trying to go over the flume water dam, you have the proper water flow. The flip-tray classifies material.

This is the Mini Highbanker bottom tray. (MHB10).
